Øresund

Description

The Øresund (the Sound) is the south-southeastward strait that connects a sea passage, the Kattegat, to the Baltic Sea. It is no less than two nautical miles wide and relatively shallow. It, and the Kattegat, separate Sverige¹ from Danmark¹, except that there is a bridge from København¹ to Malmö. It is part of the Atlantic's waters.
