Yellow Sea

Description

This sea, colored yellow by river-borne silt, is shaped like a rectangle, tilted northwest to southeast, and punctured by two peninsulas: the Liaodong and the Shandong. It is a maximum of 152 meters deep, and has a counter-clockwise warm surface current. It contains the Bo Gulf in its northwest and Korea Bay in its northeast. They are separated by the Bo Gulf Strait. The sea is an arm of the Pacific Ocean.
