Wollongong

The Wollongong is the center of an urban area that includes the important coal port of Port Kembla.¹ The industrial and resort city is situated on the coast, up against coal-bearing ridges southwest of Sydney, with Flagstaff Point poking out seaward. The city has a population of about 240 thousand.²

The tallest building is the Creston Apartments, which reach near to the city height limit of 150 feet. The city also boasts the Southern Hemisphere's largest Buddhist temple.³
