Upstate (South Carolina)

The metropolitan area of Upstate, anchored on the three cities of Greenville, Spartanburg and Anderson, is located in the Piedmont of the Appalachian Range in of South Carolina, United States of America. It has a metropolitan population of 1.385 million.1 Sixty thousand live in Greensboro, 37 thousand in Spartanburg and 27 thousand in Anderson.2 The tallest building in the three cities in early 2014 was the Landmark Building of Greenville (22 stories, 1966).3
