Strait of Otranto

Description

This strait, part of the Mediterranean Sea, connects the Adriatic and Ionian seas and separates the Italian peninsula from southern Shqipëri.1 It is at a minimum 41 nautical miles wide, and the sea at its center is almost 900 meters deep.
