Singapore Strait

Description

This passage lies between Singapore and the end of the Malay Peninsula in the north, and the Riau Islands in the south; together with the Strait of Malacca, it connects the Andaman Sea to the Pacific Ocean. It is so busy with ships that traffic separation is required. Its depth varies from 21 to 55 meters and its length is 75 nautical miles.
