Sea of Japan

Description

Although surrounded by land and shallow waters this sea is not on the continental margins, rather reaching to depths of more than 3500 meters. Its northeastward current warms continental ports. It is defined distinctly from neighboring seas by the Japanese and Russian islands and the Asian mainland. It is part of the Pacific Ocean.

The Donghae-I Gas Field is in this sea.
