San Luis Potosí

San Luis Potosí is located in the plateau between the western and eastern ranges of the Sierra Madre, in the state named after it, in México. In 2010 it had a metropolitan population of 1.041 million,1 and a city population of 686 thousand.2 The tallest building is the Edificio (Building) EME at an estimated 208 feet. Other buildings of note include four 18th century buildings: the templos de Carmen and de San Agustín; the Santuario de Gaudalupe; and the Catedral (Cathedral) de San Luis Rey.3
