Querétaro, more formally Santiage do Querétaro, is the capital of Querétaro State, México, and is located in the plateau of central México. It has a population of about 647 thousand (1.1 million in the metropolitan area).1 Central Park 100 is the tallest building, part of a residental and shopping complex. Its pink stone Baroque buildings, and the mix of Spanish grid and pre-Columbian twisty streets of the center is honored as a World Heritage Site. An 18th century aqueduct is the most prominent urban feature.
