Newcastle

Newcastle, northest of Sydney, is an important coal and grain port¹ at the mouth of the Hunter River, and has a population of about 300 thousand.² Until 1997 it was also an important steel manufacturer. The tallest building, reaching the statutory height limit,³ integrated itself with what had been the tallest building, the Latec House.⁴
