Nashville-Davidson

Nashville-Davidson (or just Nashville) is located in the Cumberland River basin within the Cumberland Plateau, in Tennessee, United States of America. It has a metropolitan population of 1.533 million, with 579 thousand in the county-city proper.1 The tallest building in early 2014 was the AT&T Building, nicknamed the 'Batman Building' because its twin spires are thought to resemble the comic book hero's ears.2 Another famous building in that city is Ryman Auditorium (1892), which served for Grand Ole Opry broadcasts from 1943 to 1974.3 Tourists visit both the current venue for those broadcasts and Music Square.
