Huambo

Huambo is located on a plateau just southwest of the center of Angola on the railway between Lobito and the copper deposits in Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of Congo. It has a population of 325 thousand.¹ It is the capital of its province and the largest city in southwestern Angola.
