Goiânia

Goiânia, the capital of Goiâs State is located on the right bank of the River da Meia Ponte1 in the Center-West Region of Brasil (Brazil). In 2012 it had a metropolitan population of 2.291 million,2 with 1.302 million in the city itself.3 The city was planned out in 1933 and its skyscrapers are surrounded by greenery. The tallest building is the 44 story residential tower, Premier Vision (486 feet, 2013).4 The city is served by one of Brasil's busiest airports.5
