Geelong is located on Corio Bay, an extension of Port Phillip Bay, and on the Barwon River, in Victoria State, Australia. It has a population of 144 thousand.1 It is an important grain port.2 Among the famous buildings is the St. Mary of the Angels Basilica, finished without spires in the 19th century; the spires were finished in the 1930s, making it the tallest building in the city at 210 feet. The T&G Building from the 1930s features a 'Father and Son' clock, with figures emerging each hour. The Geelong (former) Post Office building also features a clock, though it was installed two decades after the building was finished (1891, 1911). The first automated telephone exchange in Australia was established in this building in 1912.3
