Corumbá

Corumbá is a city of 107 thousand1 centered on the Paraguai (Paraguay) River2 in northwestern Mato Grosso do Sul (Southern Mato Grosso) state, in the Center-West Region of Brasil (Brazil). Its extensive boundaries include the state's Pantanal swamps; preserved portions of the wetlands, such as the Penha Conservation Area, together constitute a UNESCO World Heritage Site, honoring biodiversity.
