Wellington

Wellington is located at the southwest of New Zealand's North Island, by Cook Strait and Porirua Harbor, centered on a peninsula. Its urban area has 394 thousand residents, with 201 thousand under its city council.¹ It is served by Wellington International Airport, one of the nation's busiest.² The tallest building is the commercial Majestic Center (1991, 29 stories, 381 feet).³
