Vicenza

Vicenza (locally called Vicensa) is a city of 116 thousand1 within its own province located on the Bacchiglione River in the Veneto Region of northeastern Italia.2 The tallest building is probably the Torre Bissara (82 meters).3 UNESCO honors the city as a World Heritage Site, mostly for buildings designed by Andrea Palladio (16th century) such as the city's Basilica, its Loggia del Capitaniato, its Teatro Olimpico and the Villa 'Rotunda.' Roman ruins of the theatre and the acqueduct are also included.4
