Vadodara, Gujarat's third largest city, has around one and a half million residents. It is located on the Vishwamurti River, which flows in the lands between the Mahi and the Narmada. An industrial city that includes petrochemical production, it also boasts the Lakshmi Vilas Palace, a statue (Shivji's Murti) on Sur Sagar Lake and the architecturally noted hall of justice (Nyay Mandir).
