Tudmur, also spelled Tadmur or Tadmor, and formerly known as Palmyra, is a World Heritage Site in Ḥimṣ (Homs) Province in Sūriyya (Syria) and a modern city of about 60 thousand residents.1 Its monuments include the Temple of Bel (Ba'al), and a 1100 meter colonnade running along the axis of the classical city.
