Toledo, Castile-La Mancha

Toledo, a city of over 84 thousand,1 is located on the right (north) bank of the Tajo (Tejo or Tagus) River, in its eponymous province, Castile-La Mancha Autonomous Community, in España (Spain). The tallest buildings are Fuentebrada 5 and 3 (both 179 feet, 1974).2 The historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site honoring many eras including the multi-religious medieval one. Roman remains, when the city was known as Toletvm, include bits of the circus, aqueduct and sewer. The Visigoths are represented by remains of their city's walls. The Christian era is represented by the Alcázar, the cathedral (finished in the 15th century), the bridge and the gates.3
