Straits of Florida

Description

These straits are wide--82 nautical miles at its narrowest--and deep--over 1000 meters, so they allow any draught ship to travel its 330 nautical miles. They connect the Gulf of Mexico with the Atlantic Ocean. The Gulf Stream--the Atlantic's great warm current--exits the Gulf through these straits.
