South China Sea

Description

This sea, while reaching abysmal depths beyond 5000 meters, is nonetheless surrounded by continental shelves and margins. And there's even a linear extension of the shallows protruding up from the south and containing the Spratley and Paracel Islands. It contains the two arms: the Gulf of Tonkin and the Gulf of Thailand. It is part of the Pacific Ocean.
