The only South Asian city that topped one hundred thousand in 1400 or 1500 that is not mapped is Ahmadāabād (in Gujarāt, which I group with two small union territories). (The area is mapped for other periods--just not this one.) It began the century as a ruin of a city with a different name (and therefore had less than 45 thousand living there) and ended it in the 100-199 thousand range after becoming the capital of the Sultanate of Gujarāt.
