Sibiu is a city of about 151 thousand residents1 located both sides of the Cibin River2 in central România. The old town on the right bank is popular with tourists and consists of an upper and a lower portion, connected in part by stairs and featuring medieval and Rennaissance buildings and fortifications. The city is at one end of the popular mountain drive, the Transfăgărașan Road.
