靜岡-浜松 (Shizuoka-Hamamatsu) is a Major Metropolitan Area (MMA) centered on the two cities of 靜岡 (Shizuoka) and 浜松 (Hamamatsu), both on the south coast of central Honshū Island in 靜岡 (Shizuoka) Prefecture. The shared metropolitan area was defined in 2010.1
靜岡 (Shizuoka) is located on Suruga Bay and has a population of 723 thousand.2 The tallest building as of mid 2014 is the Marks the Tower Shimizu.3
浜松 (Hamamatsu) is located by a distributary of the Tenryū River on Enshū Gulf and has a population of 797 thousand.4 Lake Hamana is to its west. The tallest building as of mid 2014 is the 45 story Act Tower (1994), with a wedding area on its top floor.3
