Saumur

Saumur is a city of 27 thousand¹ located along the Loire River, near where the Thouet River joins, in the Maine-et-Loire Department of the Pays de la Loire Region of France. It is within the UNESCO World Heritage Site covering a stretch of the Loire Valley, its agricultural and culture, including vineyards such as those of Saumur, Chinon, Bourgueil and Coteaux du Layon,² and for châteaux such as the one here. The valley is also a tourist attraction.³
