Santiago de Compostella

Santiago de Compostella, a city of nearly 96 thousand,1 with a metropolitan population of over 152 thousand,2 is in the south center of A Coruña Province, in Galicia Autonomous Community, España (Spain). It is the end destination for Catholic Christian pilgrims seeking the legendary burial place of Saint James (Santiago) the Great; the routes to it in Spain constitute a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The old quarters of the city, including the 18th century cathedral, are similarly honored by UNESCO.3
