Saintes

Saintes, with a population of 26 thousand,² is located on both banks of the Charente River in the Charente-Maritime Department of the Poitou-Charentes Region of France. UNESCO honors its Saint-Eutrope church² as a stop within France for pilgrims bound for Santiago de Compostela: part of a World Heritage Site.
