Port Harcourt is the capital of Rivers state, Nigeria, on the Bonny, a distributary of the Niger River, and has a population above two million.1 . The tallest building is the Government House, which is 18 stories tall. Two soccer stadiums, Liberation and Sharks, are also notable. People in the neighborhood of the city speak either an Igboid language, Ikwere, or an Ijoid language, Kirike.2 and most are probably Christians.
