Полтава (Poltava)

Полтава (Poltava) has more than 300 thousand residents.¹ It is located in east central Україна (Ukrayina or the Ukraine), on the Vorskla River, which is a tributary of the Dnipro. It is known for monuments to the defeat of Sverige (the Swedish Empire): a column and a church built at the battlesite.
