Pisa is a city of 88,0001 that straddles the Arno River near its mouth in Pisa Province in the Toscana2 Region of Italia.3 UNESCO recognizes the Piazza del (plaza or square of the) Duomo4 as a World Heritage Site. Besides the cathredral proper that location includes the cathedral's battistero (baptistry, 1363) and its campanile: the 'Torre Pendente' (Leaning Tower, 1373), a major tourist attraction.5 The Pisa airport is one of the nation's busiest.6
