Pamplona

Pamplona, a city of over 196 thousand,1 with a metropolitan population of nearly 329 thousand,2 is centered on the left (east) bank of the Arga River, a tribuary of the Ebro (Ebre), in Navarra (Navarre) province and autonomous community, España (Spain). It is along one of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostella; the routes in Spain constitute a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tallest modern building is the Pio XII 1, a tri-partite stucture (229 feet, 1976).3
