Όλβία Ποντική (Ólbía Pontiké or just Ólbía or Olvia) was an important Greek harbor city at the mouth of the Pivdennyy Buh River in what is now Україна (Ukrayina or the Ukraine). It fourished before the end of the third century BCE, but soon after was absorbed by the Crimean Skythians, then by Asakou Basileos-Basileonate (Parthia), followed by the Dacians. As Olbia Pontica, it was part of the Senatvs Pvblvsqve Romanvs (Roman Empire) before being sacked by the Goths in the fourth century.
