岡山 (Okayama)

岡山 (Okayama) is the center of a metropolitan area with a population of 1.647 million1 located north of the Seto Inland Sea in western Honshū Island, in 岡山 (Okayama) Prefecture, ⽇夲 (Nippon).2 The city was nearly destroyed by American bombing during World War II.3 The tallest building as of early 2014 is the 32 story Grace Tower (2004).4
