Lutherstadt Wittenberg is located along the Elbe River, east of Dessau, in Deutschland (Germany). Several buildings are part of a World Heritage Site honoring the life of the innaugurator of the Protestant branch of Christianity: Martin's Luther's room, the church where he posted his theses, and the house of his colloborator, Philipp Melanchthon.1 Today's city has less than 50 thousand people.2
