Lakhnau

Lakhnau(1) is the second largest city in Uttar Pradesh(2), India(3), with 2.8 million people in the metropolis, (2.6 million in the city proper, 2007). It is located on the south (right) bank of the Gomati. Its famous monuments include: the 18th century Bara Imambara(4), with its maze; the Chhota Imambara, La Martiniere, Residency, Shah Najaf Imambara and the Charbagh Railway Station.
