La Plata (city)

La Plata is a city of 732 thousand1 located along the south shore of the estuarine Rio de la Plata, southeast of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area, and is the capital of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. (That province does not include the city of Buenos Aires.) It is an important grain port.2 The tallest building are the Calle (street) 7 1065 and the Calle 6 938 (both 253 feet). Another notable building is the Pasaje Dardo Rocha.3
