Hildesheim, Deutschland,1 is located on the Innerste River, a tributary of the Leine (and ultimately of the Weser). The city has 103 thousand residents.2 The tallest building is Andrews Church at 114 meters.3 St. Mary's Cathedral and St. Michael's Church together constitute a World Heritage Site. St. Michael's was an 11th century Benedictine Christian abbey and St. Mary's is famous for its decorated bronze doors and Bernward bronze column.4 Both were rebuilt after World War II.
