Eisenach, Deutschland,1 is located near the Nesse River, a tributary of the Fulde (one of the two headwaters of the Weser). The city has nearly 43 thousand residents.2 Its tallest building is the 19th century Elizabeth Church (42 meters).3 Its most famous building is the Wartburg Castle, seated on a hill spur above the city. Luther translated the New Testatment there. The city also has a tribute to the 19th century student movement, the Burschenschafts Monument.
