Dessau-Roßlau

Dessau-Roßlau, Deutschland,1 is located on the Mulde River near its confluence with the Elbe. The city has nearly 88 thousand residents.2 Its tallest building is the four-story Umweltbundesamt (Federal Environment Agency), whose geothermal energy system responds to weather conditions and to which side of the building rooms face.3 Its most famous buildings are those of the Bauhaus movement, notably the Bauhaus itself and the Meisterhäser (Masters' Houses).4
