Dessau-Roßlau

Dessau-Roßlau, Deutschland,¹ is located on the Mulde River near its confluence with the Elbe. The city has nearly 88 thousand residents.² Its tallest building is the four-story Umweltbundesamt (Federal Environment Agency), whose geothermal energy system responds to weather conditions and to which side of the building rooms face.³ Its most famous buildings are those of the Bauhaus movement, notably the Bauhaus itself and the Meisterhäser (Masters' Houses).⁴
