Częstochowa

Częstochowa is a city of 292 thousand residents1 (467 thousand in the metropolitan area2) located north of historical Śląskie (Silesia) but within that province of Polska (Poland), on the upper reaches of the Warta River. It is a Christian Pilgramage site due to the iconic painting, the Black Madonna of Częstochowa, located in the Jasna Góra Monastery. That church is the city's tallest building.3
