Comacchio

Comacchio is a city of 23 thousand1 on islets just north of the mouth of the Reno River in Ferrara Province, in the Emilia-Romagna (locally Emélia-Rumâgna) Region of Italia.2 UNESCO honors the area that includes the city (along with Ferrara) for the Renaissance transformations wrought on the delta that were sponsored by the Este family.3
