Cluj-Napoca

Cluj-Napoca (Cluj for short and formerly called Kolozvár) is located along the Someşul Mic River1 in central România. In 2011 it had a metropolitan population of 411 thousand, with 325 thousand in the city proper.2 A famous building is the Church of Saint Michael (1390, 262 feet high to the tip).3 The mathematician, János Bolyai was born here.
