Burgos

Burgos, a city of nearly 180 thousand,1 is located on the right (north) bank of the Arlanzón River,2 in its eponymous province, Castile and León Autonomous Community, in España (Spain). The tallest building is the cathedral (276 feet),3 built between the 13th and 16th centuries4 and honored by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The city is one of the routes for pilgrims going to Santiago de Compostela; the routes within España are also a World Heritage Site.
