Bristol

Metropolitan Bristol contains nearly 900 thousand, with nearly 375 thousand in the city proper.1 The city is located in southern England, along the Avon River not far from the mouth of the Severn. The tallest building in Bristol is Castlemead, a 19 story modern concrete tower. In the southeast end of the urban area is Bath, a city recognized as a World Heritage Site. Bath includes the old Roman baths, built on a hot spring, neo-classical 18th century buildings such as the Royal Crescent, and a large church finished in the 16th century (except for the fan vaulted ceiling, which was done in the 19th).
