Bourges

Bourges is a city of 67 thousand¹ located the l'Yèvre River,² and capital of Cher Department of the Centre Region of France. The city is dominated by its 12th to 13th century cathedral of Saint-Étienne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (although a mast, the Moulin-Bâtard Radio Tower, is taller³). The cathedral's sculptures at the north and south doors and at the west's tympanum are of particular note.⁴ There is a metal pelican atop the bell on the north tower.³
