Bourges is a city of 67 thousand1 located the l'Yèvre River,2 and capital of Cher Department of the Centre Region of France. The city is dominated by its 12th to 13th century cathedral of Saint-Étienne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (although a mast, the Moulin-Bâtard Radio Tower, is taller3). The cathedral's sculptures at the north and south doors and at the west's tympanum are of particular note.4 There is a metal pelican atop the bell on the north tower.3
