Bosra

Bosra, also known as Busra ash-Sham, formerly Nova Traiana Bostra (Nova Trajana Bostra), is a World Heritage Site. The ruins include a second century Roman theatre enclosed by a citadel and fortified walls built from the fifth to the 13th century. Further out are great square towers from the Islamic period. The site also includes a fifth century cathedral and the Mosque of Omar, from the first century H.A.1
