Benevento

Benevento (locally called Beneviento) is a city of 62 thousand1 located on a hill by the confluence of the Calore Irpino2 and one of its tributaries, the Sabato, within its own province in the Campania Region of Italia.3 The Santa Sofia complex of buildings (7th century CE) is honored by UNESCO as part of a World Heritage Site about the Longobards4 in Italia.5
