Arras

Arras, with 42 thousand residents,1 is located on the Scarpe River,2 in Pas de Calais (Strait of Dover) Department, Nord-Pas de Calais (North-Strait of Dover) Region, France. The belfry of the city hall is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site honoring belfries of France and België/ Belgique (Belgium). This Hôtel de Ville is also the tallest local building.3 The citadel is part of another World Heritage Site honoring the fortifications of Vauban.
