대구 (Taegu)

대구 (Taegu, also transliterated as Daegu), is a city with a metropolitan population of 2.321 million1 located in a basin in south central 대한 (Daehan or South Korea) along the Kŭmho (Geumho) River, a tributary of the Naktong (Nakdong). The city itself has a population of 2.509 million.2

The tallest building in early 2016 is the residential "Suseong Leader's View 2" (738 feet, 57 stories, 2010).3

The city is a center of the textile and fashion industries.4

The city is served by Taegu International Airport, one of the nation's busiest.5
